Teaching Experience:
1. Visiting Assistant Professor of Hispanic Studies: Shenandoah University, Department of Languages and Cultural Studies, August 2016-present. Courses Developed: Introduction to Spanish Translation (SPAN 451); Humor and Satire in the Digital Age (FYS), Beginning Spanish II, (SPAN 102); Intermediate Spanish I (SPAN 201).
Additional Duties: Assisted in the University's 2019 Accreditation Renewal QEP Plan. Focus: "Encounter, Engage, Express." Co-organized and taught a Global Experiential learning (GEL) summer 2018 course on the Eurozone with Petra M. Schweitzer (Shenandoah University) through classwork/travel to Belgium, France, and Spain.
2. Professor-in-Residence: University of Valencia, Hispanic Studies Program, 2014. Courses Developed: Translation from Spanish to English (SPAN 4040); Advanced Intermediate Spanish (SPAN 2020). Additional Duties: Led students on a summer study abroad experience and organized experiential learning trips throughout Spain; assisted students as a mentor in acclimating to daily life abroad.
3. Graduate Teaching Assistant: University of Virginia, Department of Spanish, Italian, and Portuguese, August 2010-May 2016. Courses Developed: Translation from Spanish to English (SPAN 4040); Advanced Intermediate Spanish (SPAN 2020)
